Great value on annual plan

I was looking for a good deal on a video editor and found Descript's annual billing option. It saved me a good chunk compared to paying monthly for the Creator plan. The Transcription Service is a lifesaver, really accurate. I tried the free trial first, which was helpful to see if it fit my needs. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth, though the learning curve for some features was a little steeper than I expected.

Easy to use, mostly

I just needed something to make some quick social clips for my small business. Descript was pretty straightforward to get into, I used the templates which saved me a lot of time. The captions and subtitles feature is really handy. I messed up my first export and couldn't find the 'undo' button right away, but figured it out. It does what I need it to do without too much fuss. Good stuff.

Good for video, delivery was slow

I used the AI Video Editor and the Green Screen features for a project. The tools themselves are pretty powerful and intuitive once you get the hang of them. Ordering the subscription was easy enough on the website. However, it took about 4 days for my account access to fully reflect the Pro features, which was a bit inconvenient as I was on a deadline. Customer support eventually sorted it out after a couple of emails, but it wasn't instant. The quality of the video output was good though, so that made up for some of the initial wait. Just something to keep in mind if you need immediate access.

Solid editor for podcasts

I signed up for Descript mainly for podcast editing, and it's been pretty good. The multi-track editing and Studio Sound features are excellent. My order was just the Creator plan, and I got access immediately. I also tried the Remote Recording, which worked surprisingly well for an interview. The interface took a little getting used to, especially finding some of the more advanced audio settings. It's not as intuitive as some simpler editors, but once you get the hang of it, it's very powerful. I appreciate the cloud storage too; it made collaborating on a project much easier. I had one small issue with audio sync after an update, but it resolved itself quickly.

Love the AI features!

Oh my gosh, Descript is fantastic! I've been using it for my YouTube channel, and the AI features like Overdub and Green Screen are just amazing. It makes editing so much faster and more fun. I even tried the Eye Contact AI, and it really made a difference in my recordings. I will absolutely be shopping here again for my future projects. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to make great videos without all the usual hassle!

Always reliable, great for podcasts

This was my third time subscribing to Descript, moving up to the Pro plan this time. Just like the previous times, getting set up was straightforward. I mainly use it for podcasting and the Multi-track Editing feature is a lifesaver. Everything worked exactly as I expected, which is why I keep coming back. Consistency really matters.

Good features, minor export glitch

I used Descript to edit a video for a presentation, mostly for the Filler Word Removal feature and the AI Video Editor. The transcription was pretty accurate, which saved a lot of time. Exporting the final video was a bit slow, and it crashed once, but after restarting the app, it worked fine. Overall, it's a powerful tool, though I wish the export process was a bit more stable. Customer service was quick to respond when I asked about the crash, even if their solution was just to restart.

Solid editing tools, easy to use

Decided to try Descript for a video project after hearing good things. The Text-to-Speech and AI Voices were surprisingly good, much better than other tools I've tried. Setting up my account was quick, and I was editing within minutes. The collaborative editing feature worked well with my team, even though we're in different time zones. I thought the pricing was fair for what you get, especially compared to some competitors. Everything felt well-designed and pretty robust. No complaints here, it just works.
